Often, Reiki sessions are given in person and are a hands-on experience where you are reclining on a table. In a Distance Reiki session we will meet via Zoom. The wonderful thing about energy work is that you can do it from anywhere! These Distance Reiki sessions are intentionally designed to be an active experience rather than a passive one. We'll  engage throughout our time together. I encourage you to be in a quiet, calm, and safe space where you won't be disturbed during the session. Unplug from screens, close the door, and let everyone know you're busy for an hour. There are wonderful empowering benefits for you as you claim this time and space for yourself. In this session you'll receive the energy work while also gaining insight, guidance, and real-time support. Clients often experience:

• A deep sense of calm and grounding
• Greater clarity around next steps and life direction
• Renewed creative flow
• Emotional release and energetic lightness
• Tools to continue integration long after the session

Here are a few ways to help you prepare for your session:

You'll be asked to answer a few questions about what you're experiencing and what brought you to the session when you schedule. 

1. Give some thought and awareness to what you're currently experiencing and why you're seeking support.

2. I also encourage you to consider what you'd like to be experiencing instead. What are you wanting to invite into your life. Be curious and open. There are no wrong answers to this question.

3. Carve out a time and schedule your session when you can have a quiet, uninterrupted hour. If you're at home, let family members know you'll be busy. This is not a time to multi-task. It's not ideal to be walking, driving or tending to pets and children. Find a bedroom or office where you can be comfortable and have some privacy. Have a glass of water, a journal and pen, and maybe even a blanket close by. If you're able to recline comfortably this is great but not required. Just make sure you're in a place where you can be comfortable and you're not operating any large machinery. It's not uncommon to feel very spacey or even get sleepy as you relax into the session, so support yourself by having surroundings that give you the best experience. 

I always recommend that you come back into your normal pace gently if possible. Drink a big glass of water and do some gentle stretching to get grounded before launching into the next thing. 

If you have the ability to schedule your session at a time where there is a little space to move slower afterward, that is great! If not, that's ok too. Depending on what comes up in your unique session, you may feel a little fatigue or sleep really hard that evening. You may want to go to bed early. 

I also encourage you to take a salt bath, shower, or foot soak before going to bed. It's a great way to clear your field and support integration after doing energy work. It's also very relaxing and nurturing. Even if it's a quick 10 minute soak, that's perfect!

These sessions are very nourishing whether you do one or a series. It depends on what you are wanting to shift.

For bigger life issues there are often deeper root causes and multiple layers. A series of sessions is most helpful in this case.

A single session periodically can help balance your nervous system and bring you back into a calm centered state. This is great to do if you're exploring different energy modalities to find a good fit or want a reboot for more inspiration and energy.
